Quilts by Ellen Adams
East Branch, New York
I look at everything as a possible element for a future quilt. I have been quilting since 1987. All my quilts are my own design, are hand quilted, and sometimes hand pieced.
I am a folk art quilter, using old quilt blocks from the turn of the century that I incorporate into my designs, bringing the past to the present. Reusing fabrics from woolen/flannel clothing and tea-dying new fabric to make it appear older are some of the techniques I like to use in my quiltmaking.
I belong to several quilting groups. We enjoy sharing the art of quilting and producing many quilts to donate to worthy local charities.
